6.0/10

My stay at Fraser Suites Edinburgh was a mixed experience. The location was excellent, just a short stroll from the Royal Mile and many attractions. However, there were a number of issues with the suite, such as the noisy environment and some appliances not functioning properly. Overall, while I appreciated the amenities and the friendly front desk staff, I was left a bit disappointed given my expectations for a higher-rated hotel.

Rooms
7.0
The junior suite was cozy but felt a bit small for the price. Some details were rough around the edges, like loose doors in the kitchen. The bathroom was nice, with heated towel racks and instant hot water.
Service
6.0
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, but there were issues with housekeeping. I had to remind them multiple times to clean the room, and it was disappointing that service was minimal, especially on Christmas.
Location
9.0
The location is unbeatable. I was right in the heart of the Old Town, incredibly close to St. Giles Cathedral and other attractions. The view from my suite was lovely, though the noise from outside was distracting.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was supposed to be continental, but I found it wasn't very value for money. While the coffee was good, I expected more variety and freshness in the offerings.
Facilities
6.0
Amenities included a kitchenette which was a nice touch for a short stay. However, I noticed some appliances were not operational, which was frustrating.

5.6/10

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Fraser Suites Edinburgh. The location was fantastic, putting me right near all the sights. However, the service left much to be desired. The room was comfortable, but the lack of proper cleaning and attention to maintenance was disappointing.

Rooms
6.0
The suite I stayed in had a lovely layout and a comfortable bed, which made for good nights' sleep. However, the maintenance could be improved, as I noticed some dust and the furnishings seemed a bit tired. Plus, housekeeping was inconsistent during my stay.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly when I interacted with them, but there were significant issues with service delivery. Housekeeping didn't come when requested at times, and I had to resolve basic needs myself, which felt a bit of a letdown for a hotel of this standard.
Location
8.0
I loved the location, just off the Royal Mile, making it super easy to explore all of Edinburgh. It was within walking distance to many attractions, which I appreciated during my stay.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were decent but nothing special. I had expected a bit more variety or quality, honestly. It served its purpose but didn't impress me.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities offered were good, with options like laundry and dry cleaning. That said, there were some things like the heating that weren't functioning as expected, which added to the discomfort.

6.4/10

My stay at Fraser Suites Edinburgh was a mix of highs and lows. The location was perfect for exploring the city, and I loved the pristine room and helpful staff. However, I was underwhelmed by the breakfast options, and some inconveniences during my stay really affected my experience. Overall, it had great potential but fell short in certain areas. 😕

Rooms
6.0
The room I had was lovely and clean, though I did encounter some inconsistencies in room sizes. My initial room had a great view, but the room on my return was much smaller and felt below standard.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff I interacted with were friendly and accommodating. However, there was one instance where the customer service at the front desk was disappointing, especially when I was told I couldn't access my bags.
Location
8.0
The hotel is ideally located just off the Royal Mile, which made it super convenient for sightseeing! However, I struggled a bit with the directions from the train station due to the steep steps involved.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience left much to be desired. The continental breakfast was lacking variety, and the full Scottish breakfast was poorly executed considering its price.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel has some nice amenities listed, I found that the restaurant had limited options and was essentially a burger bar, which was a letdown compared to other Fraser properties I've visited.

5.0/10

I had a solid stay at Fraser Suites Edinburgh with a fantastic location that made exploring the city super easy. My room was clean and comfortable, and I loved having a kitchenette that was perfect for ordering in during my visit. However, there were a few annoyances, like the noise from the hallway and a few maintenance issues that could've been better addressed.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious with a lovely view and a good shower, but I faced some noise issues from the hallway, and the heating was a bit too much.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they helped with my questions, but I found check-out inflexible, which was a letdown.
Location
9.0
The hotel is in an awesome spot, just a short walk from the major attractions like Edinburgh Castle and shopping areas, making it super convenient.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast could have been better; it was a bit lackluster and didn’t offer much variety, especially for the price.
Facilities
7.0
Loved the gym and the kitchenette in my room. The amenities were decent but could use some updates, especially the shower and heating.

My stay at Fraser Suites Edinburgh was largely enjoyable, with a perfect location just off the Royal Mile and a lovely room. Despite some drawbacks with the breakfast and customer service, I appreciated the spaciousness and cleanliness of my accommodation.

Rooms
9.0
The room was clean, bright, and comfortable, with high ceilings and large windows. It featured a small kitchenette, which was great for snacks and drinks.
Service
7.0
The staff were personable and helpful during my stay. However, I did experience a moment of rudeness from one of the receptionists, which was a bit disappointing.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location was fantastic, right near Edinburgh Castle and plenty of excellent pubs and restaurants. I loved being in such a central spot.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast left much to be desired. The options were limited and not fulfilling for the price I paid.
Facilities

They offered convenient amenities like free washers and dryers and a pleasant selection of teas and coffees in the room. However, some facilities felt outdated, like the TV.
